How does Domain Redirection work
If you have a Web address with your current ISP such as:
http://www.myisp.com/~mysite and you have a registered Domain Name you.com, or yourname.com.au, you can redirect visitors who type in your domain name to go to your current web address at: http://www.myisp.com/~mysite. Our redirection methods will display www.yourname.com.au in the browser address line.

Redirection is immediate, so your visitors won't experience any additional loading time for your website.  Web forwarding and redirection does not "cancel" the old address of your web-site, either. You can still access your page with the old web address (URL) or by entering your domain name.

We must however Register the Domain for you, or if it is already a registered Domain, re-delegate it to our nominated Servers.

Domain Forwarding with static IP
You can use Domain Pointing if your website has a static IP address associated with it. When someone looks for you on the Web by entering http://www, followed by your domain name, Domain Redirection sends them to the IP address you have specified. This could be most useful for people who run their own web and email servers.

Domain Pointing or Web Redirection?
Domain Pointing is used to send visitors to a website with a fixed network address, called an IP address. If the address of your website is a subdirectory of another domain, you should choose Domain Redirection to direct people to your site.

Subdirectories look something like this: http://www.myexample.com/users/~joe.
IP Addresses look something like this: 203.31.216.32
